Royal Astronomical Society of Canada St. John's Centre past president Gary Dymond tells a story passed down from hundreds of years of fishing tradition. It involves the "trolling" Moon, which is what fishermen of long ago referred to when they saw the "boat"" of the crescent Moon "trolling" the "tackle" of the planet Venus or Jupiter behind.
